SHOOT-INS
Effective shoot-ins
can lead to offensive chances. Here are some
important points to remember:
1. Use soft dumps or
chips vs. 'D' who are staying up at the blueline.
2. Use a diagonal
shoot-in if your winger is driving hard down the
opposite side.
3. Hard rims that get
past the goalkeeper can be effective.
4. Entries at the
blueline must be sure. Turnovers here can be very
costly.
5. When carrying the
puck into the opposing end becomes risky, shoot-ins
are a must.
