Scoring Goals

Scoring is the fun part of the game but it is not as easy as it sounds. You must work at it. Here are some helpful tips that will make you a better goal scorer:
  1. Have your head up when shooting the puck.
  2. Aim for the corners of the net and the goalie's 'five-hole'.
  3. Work on a quick release and follow through on your slap shot, wrist shot and one-timer (snap shot).
  4. Give head fakes and have confidence in your ability.

When practicing, pick corners and always shoot to score, rather than 'hoping' to score.
