Are You A Good Team Player?

Most contemporary coaches stress a 'Team Approach'. The following questions are good things to keep in mind each time you make your way to the rink:

(15 Questions To Ask Yourself)

  1. Do I always come ready to play and give 100% during games and practices?
  2. Am I always positive with teammates?
  3. Do I listen to my coaches without arguing or talking back?
  4. Do I keep my point shots low?
  5. Do I make the hit and finish my check whenever I have the chance?
  6. Do I protect our goalie?
  7. Do I take a hit to make a play?
  8. Do I take pride in my defensive responsibilities?
  9. Do I go to the net without the puck and stand my ground there?
  10. Do I work hard to 'read and react' during the forecheck?
  11. Am I alert to what's happening when I'm on the bench?
  12. Am I aware of my roles on the team and work hard to fulfill them?
  13. Do I take care of face-off responsibilities?
  14. Do I make an 'honest' effort to play within our system?
  15. Am I on time for games and practices with all my equipment?

If you answered 'Yes' to most of the questions, you are on your way! If you answered 'No', work hard and make the necessary adjustments until you are able to proudly say 'Yes'.
