Here are some tips
for playing '4 on 4' hockey:
- Short shifts -
high pace
- 'D' ready to join
rushes - '3 on 2's'
- Avoid shoot-ins -
regroup if possible
- Keep yourself in
the play - avoid blind passouts, getting caught,
etc.
- Avoid '3 on 2's'
against
- Faceoffs in
defensive zone - on a lost draw, the defending
centre must go to the point
- No penalties for
sure
- When coming out of
the penalty box, if an opponent has the puck,
stay with your man
