3 on 2's: Offence
A three-on-two rush if
executed properly, should result in a scoring chance.
The puck should be passed wide before or at the blueline.
The winger who receives the pass should carry the puck
wide. The middle forward should drive hard to the net,
drawing a defenceman to him or possibly even drawing a
penalty.
The weak side forward should get open in the slot. The
puck carrier has a choice of a goalmouth pass to the
middle forward driving to the net or a slot pass to the
weak side forward. This makes it very difficult for the
defender.
Also, it is important to be looking for rebounds.
