Forechecking

Forechecking is an essential part of hockey. Good forechecking is an art. Here are some important tips that will make you a better forechecker:

1. Hustle hard after the puck.

2. Angle intelligently.

3. Finish your check.

One of the most important points for good forechecking is to use your stick to direct the opponent where you want them to go. A smart stick placement will force your opponent to pass the puck exactly where you want it passed. Also, always forecheck with your stick on the ice, that way there is always a chance the puck will hit it!
