The York Region Cougars Selects spring
program (based in Aurora, ON) will be training players at 1995-2001 birth years. We are a regionalized division of the
Selects Hockey program and our mission is to develop and grow
elite young hockey players (AA and AAA calibre) with an emphasis
on skill development. Official

OUR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONSISTS
OF:
- 'Skills Challenge Day' with
professional off-ice training (2.5 hours on-ice)
- 8 individual on-ice Sunday
Skills Sessions with 4 hours of professional off-ice training
- Exclusive 'Team-Building'
session with Larry Pearson (leadership specialist)
- 7 total hours of professional
off-ice leadership, coordination, stick handling and dryland
training
- Specialty Power-Skating Clinic
with a professional NHL Power-Skating coach
- 20+ total hours of professional
on-ice instruction
- Professional coaches plus
current and/or NHL Alumni guest instruction
- Specialized Goaltending training
during each on-ice session
- Detailed player evaluation
identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for
improvement
- Exposure to the established,
elite Selects Hockey program
- Positive learning environment
- Competitive schedule of
tournaments in great destinations and the opportunity to play
with Cougars Selects players from across North America
(Tournaments are optional and include access to Cougars AA and
Super Elite Cougars Selects AAA teams. Additional fees apply.)

PLAYER FEE $749 - includes
Sunday Skills sessions, off-ice training, stick handling sessions
Specialty NHL Power-Skating Clinic, Team-Building session,
Evaluation testing, Discount towards Roger Neilson's Hockey Camp,
jerseys, socks, and golf shirt. Presented by Roger Neilson's
Hockey Camp.
Registration is
restricted to AA/AAA players and there are a limited number of
positions in each age group. The 2009 package is expected to fill
